Security forces defuse IED in Kashmir’s Pattan area

Srinagar, (Samajweekly) A road-opening party of the security forces averted a tragedy on Tuesday morning when it found an improvised explosive device (IED) planted at Tappar village in Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Police sources said the IED was planted on a road near a petrol pump by terrorists. A bomb disposal squad later went to the spot to defuse the IED.
