Marjan Sarec forms coalition government in Slovenia

Ljubljana (Slovenia),   Five centre-Left parties on Wednesday nominated Marjan Sarec to become the Prime Minister of Slovenia and signed an agreement to form a minority government.

“I think we have all accomplished what we wanted and the government will be operative in two weeks,” Efe news quoted Sarec, a former comedian and actor, as saying.

The alliance puts an end to months of arduous negotiations after the June 3 parliamentary elections gave Sarec’s party 13 seats in the 90-member National Assembly.
