Dr Nagra was awarded one of the two very prestigious awards by Diversity Together

 Dr Jagat Singh Nagra was one of the two candidates who received the first honorary Diversity Award from Diversity Together for his contributions in the field education. The other awardee was Mr Roger Medwell who was a big businessman in Coventry.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday 22 September 2018 at the Village Hotel in Coventry and the Lord Mayer of Coventry presented the awards. The awards ceremony included short speeches, dances representing different cultures, dinner and awards giving ceremony.

Dr Nagra’s wife and Mr Roger Medwell’s wife were also honoured by presenting them with beautiful flowers.

Dr Nagra is an Ofsted retired school Inspector and also an author of about 40 books. Although retired he is still very much involved in the development and maintenance of community languages especially Panjabi in the UK.
