New Delhi, The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Wednesday asked telcos to submit the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) amount based on self-assessment as per the Supreme court order.

The DoT said in a letter to telcos that the Supreme Court has asked them to make the payments within three months.

“You are directed to make the payment in accordance with the order of the SC and submit the requisite documents to ensure compliance within the stipulated timeframe,” the DoT letter said.

The Supreme Court in a recent verdict allowed the Centre to recover Rs 92,641 crore in total AGR from telcos, dealing a blow to companies such as Airtel and Vodafone Idea, among others.
