AAP takes out victory rally in Kolkata

Kolkata,  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday took out a victory rally in the heart of Kolkata, describing the party’s triumph in the Delhi Assembly polls as the beginning of a new era.

A motley group of AAP leaders and workers marched from Ladies Park in South Kolkata to Subodh Mallick Square near the city centre, raising slogans like “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

“Desh Ki Neta Kaisa ho, Arvind Kejriwal Jaisa Ho,” the rallyists shouted, as they waved the tricolour.

An AAP leader said the party was planning to put up some candidates in the coming civic polls in Cooch Behar and Howrah districts of West Bengal.

“Nothing has been finalised yet. But we are weighing these options,” said the leader.
