AAP, BJP accuse each other of misbehaviour

New Delhi: Union Minister Vijay Goel accompanied by BJP leader Vijender Gupta, addresses a press conference in New Delhi

New Delhi,  Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party and opposition BJP on Friday accused each other for misbehaviour after AAP’s Dilip Pandey entered a public meeting of Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel.

Goel, former BJP Delhi President, was addressing a meeting organised by the RWA’s federation asking Kejriwal government to return the money of those who paid their water bills and penalties on time, when Aam Aadmi Party’s leader, Dilip Pandey, arrived at the venue.

While Pandey said he went there to ask some questions to Goel and was abused and manhandled by the BJP supports.

On the other hand, Goel said Pandey started disrupting the meeting.

“He was later made to leave the venue and an FIR was filed against him by RWA’s General Secretary, Saurabh Gandhi at Mukherjee Nagar Policy Station,” Goel told the media.

Goel had organised the meeting against the AAP to expose the Delhi government.

He said Kejriwal has failed to win a single election after 2015.

“Now, out of desperation and disappointment, Kejriwal is giving electricity and water bill waiver to gather votes.”

Goel said the RWA meetings are being organised everywhere.

“Afraid of losing, Kejriwal has stooped so low that his workers are now interrupting meetings of RWA,” Goel said adding people are angry about how their taxes are being misused for advertisements.

On the contrary, the AAP said the BJP is going against people’s interests on the issue of water bill waiver.

Pandey said he went to the public meeting to ask some questions from Goel.

“Instead of answering these questions, the BJP members present at Goel’s dialogue program shouted at us, abused us and called the police and asked that we be thrown out. The inhuman behaviour by the BJP members in that program is extremely condemnable. Today, the real face of the BJP has been exposed,” said Pandey.

He said Goel had invited the public, “but when we reached the program and questioned him on issues of public importance, he did not have any answer.”

Pandey said he asked Goel if he is supporting the waiver of water bill dues.

The tenure of the Arvind Kejriwal government will end on February 2020.
