81 passengers from other countries found asymptomatic in TN

Chennai, (Samajweekly) A total of 81 passengers from other countries have been found to be coronavirus asymptomatic in Tamil Nadu, said the state government.

According to the Tamil Nadu government, 81 asymptomatic passengers from highly affected countries are being quarantined in quarantine facilities near the airport.

A total of 209,288 passengers were screened at Chennai, Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore airports.

“As on date, including the passengers from other countries, there are 77,330 passengers who are under home quarantine for 28 days,” government said.

A total of 630 persons are under hospital isolation in the state.

Tamil Nadu has reported 124 coronavirus positive cases.
